Eatons' Ranch

Sheridan County History Museum

Trail End State Historic Site

Thursday, 8 May 2008

6:00 pm – 8:30 pm – Opening Reception, Sheridan County Museum

Thursday night’s opening reception will be held at the beautiful Sheridan County Museum, overlooking the Goose Creek Valley and Big Horn Mountains from its perch just off Interstate 90. The museum’s exhibits are as varied as the people who made Sheridan what it is today: vibrant, colorful and intriguing. In between greeting old friends, making new ones, and enjoying a selection of light hors d'oeuvres and liquid refreshments, be sure and check out dioramas, exhibit cases and, of course, the museum store.

LOCATION: The Sheridan County Museum is located at 850 Sibley Circle, just off Fifth Street near I-90’s exit 23. A map will be included in your registration packet.

TRANSPORTATION: In the interest on conservation, let’s plan to carpool from the motel to the museum. We’ll meet in the Sheridan Center lobby just before 6:00, when the first cars will head out. We’ll plan to have transportation running to and from the museum every fifteen minutes or so, with the last one heading out at 7:15.

Friday, 9 May 2008

11:45 pm – 1:30 pm – CWAM Business Luncheon, Best Western Sheridan Center

5:30 pm – 9:00pm – Dinner and CWAM Bowl

Get ready for a real treat Friday night, as the CWAM Bowl moves to historic Eatons’ Ranch in Wolf, Wyoming – the oldest dude ranch in the state. Located in the spectacular Wolf Creek Valley in the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains just west of Sheridan, Eatons’ is known for its western hospitality and tasty food!

After dinner and on-your-own tours of the ranch facilities, plan to represent your state, your museum discipline and/or your own bad self in the ever-popular CWAM Bowl – a historic event in itself! Start putting your teams together now (limit four people per team). NOTE: Cash bar.

TRANSPORTATION: We do not recommend taking your own vehicle to this event. Big yellow buses parked outside the motel will leave at 5:30 and 5:45 (don’t be late!); return trips will be at 8:30, 8:45 and 9:00. Don’t forget to bring a jacket!!

Saturday, 10 May 2008

6:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Birds of a Feather Cocktail Hour (cash bar), Best Western Sheridan Center

7:00 pm – 11:00 pm – CWAM Flamingo Banquet and Auction, Best Western Sheridan Center

Join us for food and fun in the Best Western Sheridan Center’s Snow Goose Room. How formal is this banquet? Judge for yourself: Last year, it had a beach theme; this year – well, we can’t tell you, but you can bet it will be different! And who cares – as long as the refreshments flow freely, the food is worth sitting down to, and the auction items inspire repeated trips to and from the display tables! Listen to music by Celtic Sage, Sheridan’s own Celtic band, playing mandolin, string base, violin, guitar, drum, flute, etc., for your listening pleasure. You can even dance a jig or two if you like! So break out the pink feathers and funny headdresses! Make bids on great items in the fiercely competitive (and fiercely hilarious) Silent and Live Flamingo Auction! See what outfits your favorite CWAM celebrities will wear this year!
